Rio's Staying Put!

Speculation suggests that Tottenham Hotspur have, in recent weeks, been attempting an audacious bid to bring Rio Ferdinand to White Hart Lane. The England defender, however, looks set to remain at Old Trafford as the centre-back continues to recover from a recent injury.
Reports claim that Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp made formal enquiries to the Old Trafford hierarchy regarding the defender's availability over the summer.
Redknapp is believed to have earmarked former Leeds man Ferdinand as the ideal man to bolster his defensive ranks, but Sir Alex Ferguson was not interested in doing business.
The England skipper is expected to return to the United XI after the forthcoming international break following a spell on the sidelines.
Ferdinand missed the 2010 World Cup finals with a back problem - and Nemanja Vidic is anxious for his defensive partner to be back in action; telling the press that the player is "a very important player" for the club.

A good enough offer and i'd have left him go.
