Manchester United's title hopes were dealt a blow on Tuesday evening with a narrow defeat at Chelsea. Despite taking a first-half lead through Wayne Rooney, the Red Devils were pegged back thanks to a David Luiz strike and a Frank Lampard penalty. Nemanja Vidic was sent-off for United.
United dominated the first-half and took a narrow lead into the interval at Stamford Bridge thanks to Wayne Rooney's strike.
The England frontman fired home from just outside the penalty box as rampant United bossed the home side.
However, the game swung in Chelsea's favour after the 15-minute break. David Luiz slammed home the equality, before Lampard settled the contest with a somewhat controversial penalty.
Sir Alex Ferguson's men must pick themselves up from this set-back at fierce rivals Liverpool on the weekend.
