Welbeck hails Sir Alex's half-time team talk

United striker Danny Welbeck said Sir Alex Ferguson's half-time team talk was the difference as the Red Devils sealed a crucial 3-0 win over Spurs on Monday. After a close first-half, the hosts struck three times after the break to claim maximum points at Old Trafford.
Welbeck scored one and made another as United scored three second-half goals to beat Spurs.
He opened the scoring shortly after the hour-mark before a cheeky back-heel allowed Anderson to score a rare club goal.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the striker said: "Every single point is vital. We need as many points and keep the ball rolling,
"The tempo started fast, but some wise words from the gaffer at half-time helped.
"I think it showed how well the manager has got the squad combined. Once you are in the starting XI you have to work hard to keep your place."
His fine attacking performance will have done his chances for first-team football no harm whatsoever. Presently, Welbeck seems to be preferred to Dimitar Berbatov as an attacking option.
