Norwood still aiming for first-team place at United
On loan at Scunthorpe

Manchester United midfielder Oliver Norwood is determined to prove his worth at Scunthorpe United and is desperate to fulfil his dream and enter Sir Alex Ferguson’s first-team plans. The Northern Irish international completed a five-month loan spell to the Iron earlier in the week.
Norwood will link up with Scunthorpe until January, as reported by ManUtdWeb earlier in the week.
The 20-year-old already has senior caps for Northern Ireland, but is yet to register a first-team appearance for United.
He says it has always been his “dream” to play for United’s first-team and, though he is not sure whether he will get the chance, seems eager to utilise his spell at Scunthorpe to try and impress Sir Alex.
He added: “Realistically, will it happen? I am not sure but I’d like to give it my best shot, come here (Scunthorpe United), get the games, do the best I can and see where that takes me.
“I have been in the Reserves now for two full seasons - this would have been my third - and I think it is getting a bit easy for me because we are playing against the same teams every year. You are not really challenging yourself."
