Former Manchester United forward Dwight Yorke believes Manchester United have been handed an excellent Champions League draw. The Red Devils will face Benfica, FC Basel and Romanian outfit Otelul Galati as they bid to win the European title for the fourth time.
39-year-old Yorke, now retired, has joined the growing list of pundits and commentators highlighting how pleased United will be with Thursday afternoon’s draw.
Speaking on Sky Sports, the former Aston Villa man said: “Manchester United will be delighted with this group.
“They know Benfica inside out and we know what to expect from Basel. Quietly, the guys will be confident of advancing to the next stage”.
The former Trinidad and Tobago international admitted that he knew little about Otelul Galati, the fourth seeds of the group.
During his spell at Old Trafford, Yorke scored 66 goals from 152 appearances and lifted the Champions League trophy in 1999.
