Manchester United will be hoping to make it six league wins on the bounce on Sunday as they prepare to play only their second ever Premier League game on Welsh soil. Nemanja Vidic is hoping to play a key role in the game after making his long-anticipated comeback against Sunderland, but United will be without full-back Rafael.

United go into the game on the back of a string of impressive league results and currently sit six points clear at the top of the Premier League.

The Red Devils will be desperate to continue that excellent form against a Swansea side threatening to suffer a blip.

Michael Laudrup's men have lost their last two league games - against Norwich and Spurs - though did recently book their place in the League Cup semi-final for the first time.

This is the third Premier League meeting between the two sides, with United claiming a 1-0 win in Swansea and a 2-0 home win last season.

Vidic returned to United action on Saturday as a substitute against Sunderland, and is hoping to play a key role in Sunday's clash at the Liberty Stadium.

Sir Alex Ferguson, however, will be without Rafael due to a hamstring problem. He joins Nani and Shinji Kagawa in the treatment room, but the Red Devils have been boosted by the news that Jonny Evans has overcome a hamstring problem.

Swansea City could start goalkeeper Michel Vorm, who has been sidelined for eight weeks with injury. The Dutchman, once linked with a move to Old Trafford, has recieved much plaudits since his move to the Liberty Stadium.

Pablo Hernandez is set to return to the match-day squad for the home side after recovering from injury, but the Swans are likely to be without Angel Rangel.

United are favourites with the bookmakers - with 7/10 (William Hill) available on a festive away win for the Red Devils. The Swans are 9/2 (Ladbrokes), whilst the draw is 3/1 (Paddy Power).
