Manchester United have an ideal opportunity to open up a 12 point lead at the top of the Premier League on Sunday, as Everton make the short journey to Old Trafford. The Red Devils' title chances were given a massive lift on Saturday as bitter rivals City lost 3-1 at Southampton.
Goals from Jason Puncheon, Steven Davis and an own goal from Gareth Barry helped the Saints to a surprise win over City at St.Mary's.
Edin Dzeko's effort proved little consolation for the Citizens, who are now massive underdogs in the race for the league championship.
David Moyes' side will be hoping to increase their chances of European qualification on Sunday. They currently sit in sixth position - six points behind Spurs, who occupy the final Uefa Champions League spot.
They face a United side set to be boosted by the return of winger Ashley Young, whilst Phil Jones and Michael Carrick have recovered from minor knocks.
