Kagawa claims assist as three-goal Japan beat Guatemala

Shinji Kagawa was in action for Japan as they secued a 3-0 international friendly win against Guatemala. The Manchester United midfielder played 75 minutes and set-up his country’s second goal.

Second-half goals from Keisuke Honda, Masato Kudo and Yasuhito Endo secured the win for Japan in Osaka.

The home side’s second goal came on 69 minutes with Kagawa finding Kudo who hit the net from close range.

Alberto Zaccheroni's Japan return to action on Tuesday evening for a friendly with Ghana.

Kagawa is yet to feature for United this season – and will be hoping to impress during this international break as he aims to stake a claim for a regular first-team place at Old Trafford.
