Manchester United are set to learn more on the extent of Marouane Fellaini's wrist injury with the player set to visit a specialist on Monday.
Fellaini missed out on United's 2-1 victory at Sunderland on Saturday due to ligament damage in the wrist.
The Belgian international looks set to miss his country's forthcoming World Cup qualifiers against Croatia and Wales with the problem - and could miss further United fixtures depending on the seriousness of the injury.
Speaking to the Mirror, United boss David Moyes confirmed: "He's got a wrist injury. He's going to see a specialist. "It doesn't sound too good but we'll wait and find out on Monday."
Fellaini has made five United appearances since his £27.5million move from Everton, sealed during the closing moments of the summer transfer window.
