Wayne Rooney has declared that England will qualify for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. The Manchester United frontman will be hoping to play a key role as England prepare for crucial qualifiers against Montenegro and Poland.
After eight World Cup qualifiers, England top Group H - despite the fact they have only claimed wins over Moldova and San Marino to date.
Roy Hodgson's men are, however, unbeaten during the campaign, having drawn their other four matches. They now prepare for crucial games against Montenegro and Poland at Wembley.
In a tight qualifying Group, only three points separate England with fourth-placed Poland, but the Three Lions look well-placed as they finish their campaign with back-to-back home matches.
"We’re going to do it. We’re going to get to the World Cup," announced Rooney.
"I’m confident, we’re confident, but you always have to be sure you’re not over-confident. These are going to be two tough games for us, but we’re good enough to do it".
The United star missed England's previous two qualifiers with a head injury, but will be hoping to build on his five United goals this season with his country as Hodgson's side prepare for two massive games.
