Former Manchester United coach Rene Meulensteen claimed his first win since taking over the reins as Fulham with a crucial 2-0 win over Aston Villa.
After suffering a 3-2 home defeat against Spurs in his opening game, Meulensteen tasted victory on Sunday as Fulham claimed a much-needed home win.
Steve Sidwell broke the deadlock before Dimitar Berbatov, who worked alongside his new manager during his time at United, doubled the advantage from the penalty spot.
The result moved the Cottagers up to 18th in the Premier League table.
49-year-old Meulensteen left Old Trafford following the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson, having served in a number of roles at the club during two spells, including as Reserve Team boss and first-team coach.
