Nani to Juventus in January?

Serie A leaders Juventus have been linked with a January move for Manchester United's Luis Nani.

Despite regular flashes of brilliance, it could be suggested that the Portuguese international has failed to fulfil his potential at Old Trafford.

United splashed out a fee reportedly in the region of £17million on the player in 2007, who has responded with 40 goals from 224 games.

The winger has made 10 appearances for United since David Moyes took the helm over the summer, and reports in the Sunday People claim the Scotsman might be prepared to part company with the former Sporting Lisbon man in January.

Juve presently boast a five point lead at the top of Serie A, and are rumoured to be prepared to splash out a hefty fee on Nani as they seek to regain the Italian title and build for the future following a disappointing Champions League group stage exit.

Nani is presently out of action with a hamstring injury and would need to prove his fitness before completing any switch to Italy.

It is not the first time the player, who penned a new five-year deal with United earlier this season, has been linked with a move to the Turin club - and the length of his new contract gives United the room to negotiate for a significant transfer fee should Moyes wish to sell.
