Welsh prospect extends Carlisle stay

Welsh Under-21 international Tom Lawrence is staying on loan with Carlisle United until January 28th.

The 19-year-old has hit three goals from seven appearances for the Brunton Park outfit.

He recently grabbed the headlines after netting two stunning strikes in a 4-1 win over Tranmere Rovers, and also found the net at Crewe on New Year’s Day.

Lawrence has been playing for the Cumbrians alongside 'goalkeeper Ben Amos, who has now returned to Old Trafford.

Carlisle sit 15th in League One, but only three points above the relegation zone.
