Manchester City await the winners of Wednesday's League Cup semi-final between United and Sunderland after sealing their spot in the Wembley showpiece final on Tuesday evening.

City's expensively-assembled goalscoring juggernaut rolled on at Upton Park, with a three-goal win sealing a 9-0 aggregate victory over West Ham.

A brace for Alvaro Negredo and a Sergio Aguero strike sealed the win for United's bitter rivals, as the Citizens' scoring tally for the season rises to a formidable 106 strikes.

Following the one-sided first-leg, only 14,390 were in attendance in East London as Sam Allardyce continues to struggle in the Hammers hotseat.

The result rubber-stamped what was already more than on the cards - that David Moyes' men face a Manchester derby in the final if they can overturn a single-goal deficit against Sunderland on Wednesday evening.

Regardless of the outcome, City's qualification for the final means the scheduled Premier League Manchester derby at Old Trafford for March 1st will now be moved. Hopefully, a derby at Wembley will be taking place that weekend instead!
