Sloppy?

A Belgian sports journalist says Adnan Januzaj's omission from his country's World Cup outings thus far follow "sloppy" efforts in training.

United's Marouane Fellaini played all 90 minutes as Divock Origi struck late to hand Belgium a narrow 1-0 victory against Russia on Sunday.

The result sent the Belgians into the last 16 of the competition, though they can consider themselves fortunate to have picked up maximum points against both Algeria and the Russians in their opening two fixtures.

United fledgling Januzaj has been an unused substitute in both matches - and poor efforts in training have been earmarked as a possible reason behind Marc Wilmot's decision to exclude the teenager.

Kristof Terreur, a Premier League correspondent for Belgian newspaper HLN, tweeted: "People asking where's Adnan Januzaj. Let's say Wilmots wasn't about his efforts on training. It was quite sloppy."

Belgium complete their Group H endeavours against South Korea on Thursday, in a game in which Januzaj will hope to make his World Cup bow.
