Amid speculation of a possible Juventus move for Manchester United's Nani, Patrice Evra has said the player would be a "great purchase" for his new club.
Reports claim Evra is encouraging his new employers to make a move for the winger, having himself swapped Old Trafford for Turin over the summer.
The left-back was quizzed about Juve's possible interest, and was full of praise for his former team mate.
"He is a great player and it was a privilege for me to play with Nani," he said.
"If Juventus are interested in him, I can only say that Nani would be a great purchase."
Nani's future at United has been the subject of debate for some while, with the player last month casting doubt over his future when he told Portuguese paper Abola that he would "evaluate" options amid interest in him.
The 27-year-old has made 228 appearances for United, but still faces much competition for a regular first-team spot as Louis van Gaal makes his mark on his new charges.
