Crerand slams 'small section' of fans after Fellaini jeers

Former Manchester United midfielder Paddy Crerand has criticised supporters who jeered Marouane Fellaini during the pre-season victory over Valencia on Tuesday evening.

Fellaini was given a frosty reception by elements of United's supporters, having been introduced as a substitute in the 76th minute, replacing Javier Hernandez.

Crerand, who made 397 appearances for the Red Devils, took to Twitter to say he was "very disappointed" with a "small section" of United supporters for their "treatment of Fellaini".

He later added: "If you don't support all the players who play for Utd don't bother coming to Old Trafford".

The Belgian international went onto grab a last-gasp winner for United, as he aims to get his career at the club back on track following a difficult first season at Old Trafford.
