Warren Joyce's United U21s claimed a deserved point at Anfield on Friday evening, in a game broadcast on BT Sport, MUTV and LFC TV.

Tom Lawrence grabbed an equalising goal for the Red Devils on 68 minutes, with the Welshman turning home a cross from James Wier.

Jordan Lussey's free-kick had given the home side the lead four minutes earlier.

United will be satisfied with a point against their bitter rivals, following impressive wins in the Manchester Senior Cup against City and Norwich in the league.
