United to face Accrington Stanley away

Manchester United have been paired alongside Accrington Stanley in the first round of the Lancashire Senior Cup.

Stanley will have home advantage for the tie, with fixture details to be confirmed in due course.

United have won the tournament on 14 occasions previously, and now field a second-string line-up in the competition.

The winners of the tie will face either Preston North End or Blackburn Rovers in the quarter-final.

Bury are the current holders of the Senior Cup, having edged out Wigan Athletic on penalties in the 2014 final, which was held earlier in August. 

The full draw is as follows:

Blackburn Rovers v. Preston North End
Accrington Stanley v. Manchester United
Rochdale v. Fleetwood Town
Morecambe v. Blackpool
Oldham Athletic v. Blackburn Rovers

Wigan Athletic, Bolton Wanderers and holders Bury will all enter the competition at the quarter-final stage.
