De Gea pride in reaching United milestone

David de Gea has spoken of his pride in making his 100th Premier League appearance for Manchester United.

The Spaniard clocked up a century of top-flight games for the Red Devils on Saturday as United narrowly beat West Ham United at Old Trafford.

De Gea, who has never appeared as a substitute at United, has featured in 139 games in all competitions for the club following his switch from Atletico Madrid in 2010.

Speaking on Twitter, the 23-year-old said he was "very proud" to have played 100 Premier League matches for United, and thanked fans for their support.

The weekend's game also saw Wayne Rooney become the Premier League's third top goalscorer of all time, as he opened the scoring with his 176th top-flight strike.
