Manchester United's Marouane Fellaini grabbed the only goal of the game, as Belgium leapfrog Wales and go top of Euro 2016 Qualification Group B.
Fellaini broke the deadlock in the early exchanges of the game, as Belgium made it 11 points from five matches.
The win lifts them above Wales on goal difference, but Chris Coleman's side should not be disappointed with this result, which makes their prospects of a second-placed finish, at least, look all the brighter. Wales are targeting a spot at a major finals for the first time since 1958.
Fellaini will be fully expecting his country to march onto Euro 2016, and they held onto a vital away win on Tuesday evening despite the dismissal of Vincent Kompany on 64 minutes for a second bookable offence.
The win sees Fellaini continue his fine goalscoring form, after the midfield bagged a brace in the weekend's 5-0 qualification drubbing of Cyprus, who sit fourth in the group.
