FC United of Manchester took a huge leap towards the Conference North with a comfortable 4-0 win at Whitby on Wednesday evening.

810 were in attendance at the Turnbull as three first-half goals put the Red Rebels well on their way.

Tom Greaves opened the scoring for Karl Marginson's men, with Jerome Wright and Greg Daniels following up before the interval.

Rory Fallon put the icing on the cake in the closing stages, as FCUM re-opened a seven point lead at the top of the table, with games-to-spare over elements of the chasing pack, to boot!

After four play-off failures on the spin, automatic promotion is within reach for the breakaway club, and - consequently - a spot in the sixth tier of English football.
