Former Red Devil Cristiano Ronaldo scored a sensational five goals as Real Madrid tore Granada to shreds with a 9-1 La Liga win.

Ronaldo scored five in a match for the first time, including an eight-minute first-half hat-trick.

The winger also bagged two goals after the break, with Gareth Bale, an own goal and a Karim Benzema brace easing Real to the jaw-dropping scoreline.

Real sit four points behind leaders Barcelona, after the Catalan giants also claimed victory on the weekend.
