United feature heavily in early TV games.

Manchester United feature in a number of the initial batch of live televised matches on SKY tv and BT Sport. These August games highlight the variety of different kick off times Premier league games clubs experience in the modern era. United are being shown four times live in August, twice at Old Trafford and have two games on the road.
Gone for ever are the days when you knew your team would be playing at 3pm on Saturday! But in those days if you could not get to the ground or perhaps couldn't get in, the only chance you had of seeing the action was on Match of the Day (which showed highlights of only two games for many years) or ITV's Sunday afternoon highlights programme which featured a couple of regional games depending upon where you lived.
Beginning on August 8th on BT Sport Manchester United host Tottenham Hotspur with 12.45 lunch time kick off. This is followed by a trip on Friday evening Aug 14th for a Sky Sports covered match at Villa Park with a 7.45pm kick off.
Two more games in August will be shown live on television, another lunchtime kick off at Old Trafford on Aug 22nd (BT Sport) when Newcastle United are the visitors with a 12.45 start. The month closes with a trip to South Wales for the match on Aug 30th when Sky Sports will show the red devils at Swansea City, the kick off for this more traditional Super Sunday match being 4pm.
On reflection I think I prefer the modern era! Although I certainly miss turning up with cash in hand to find my place on the terraces....
