Any ambitions Manchester United have to sign Gareth Bale have been dealt a blow, with the player's agent publicly declaring the Welshman's happiness at La Liga club Real Madrid.
United have regularly been linked with the services of the £80million man, with speculation over the summer suggesting a transfer window move could be in the offing.
Conflicting reports have long surfaced about how happy the player is at Real Madrid, following his £80million move to Spain from Spurs in 2013.
However, Jonathan Barnett - Bale's agent - has cooled transfer talk by offering a glowing reference of the Cardiffian's experiences in the Spanish capital thus far.
"Everyone coverts him. But we haven't even talked about it. He's so happy with Real Madrid," said Barnett.
He added: "Real is the best club in the world and they bought him. He wants to do well. He badly wants to see Real and himself achieve certain targets.
"One of those is to win the Ballon d'Or and I think he's got the best chance in the world playing at Real Madrid".
Bale has notched up an impressive 41 Real goals from 89 appearances, but aims to add the Spanish league title to his list of honours for the first time - another point stressed by Barnett.
