United's second choice 'keeper Roy Carroll was an unused substitute as Northern Ireland fought bravely to earn an impressive 0-0 draw with group favourites Spain. Manager Sammy McIlroy was delighted with the result, but his side have not scored a goal in 972 minutes of football.

Carroll was an unused substitute in Northern Ireland's 0-0 draw with Spain. Sammy McIlroy's men battled bravely to get a very credible draw with Spain, who are one of the favourites to win Euro 2004 outright. The fans were very pleased with the result and the teams display, but Northern Ireland haven't found the net in 972 minutes. Northern Ireland remain bottom of their group, with two points. |
