Barcelona vice-president Sandro Rossell has admitted that the Catalan club stand no chance of signing the World Cup winner, after being out bid by Manchester United and Real Madrdid. £13.9million is believed to be United's offer for the PSG star.

Barcelona vice-president Sandro Rossell has admitted
that the Catalan club now have no chance of signing Ronaldinho, after being
outbid by both Manchester United and Real Madrid. Newly elected president of the Spanish giants Joan Laporta turned his attention to Ronaldinho, after losing the battle to sign David Beckham to rivals Real Madrid. Madrid have now emerged as United's only rival to sign Ronaldinho. "Manchester United and Real Madrid have both offered £13.9million, and we are not going to enter into a fight between them." announced Rossell. "We want Ronaldinho but our offer is lower than that" Laporta is now under intense pressure to bring a big name player to the Nou Camp, after promising signings in his successful election campaign. Ronaldinho has been United's main transfer target since the departure of David Beckham, but Sir Alex Ferguson must fight off tough competition from Real, who were crowned La Liga winners last weekend, to sign the World Cup winner. |
