Real Madrid midfielder Zinedine Zidane believes that United made a big mistake in selling David Beckham, and that his new team-mate will thrive at the Bernabeu. Zidane and Beckham are expected to line up in the centre of Real's midfield next season, and the Frenchman is confident that with Beckham in their side, Real can win back the Champions League next season. "I was surprised United let David Beckham go," said the World Cup winner. "If you want to be the best club side in the world then you have to have the best players. And David falls into that category - otherwise Madrid wouldn't have been so determined to sign him." "At some point Real Madrid and Manchester United will meet in Europe - and fate will decree that he will prove the difference between the sides." |
