Manchester United have been told by French giants PSG that they will have to fork out a staggering £31million for Brazilian ace Ronaldinho. The fee is over double what Sir Alex Ferguson was expected to pay for the World Cup winner.

Manchester United have been told by French giants PSG that they will have to fork out a staggering £31million for Brazilian ace Ronaldinho. The price was set by club president Francis Graille for Ronaldinho earlier today, as he looks to ease the financial crisis at the troubled club. It was believed that United would only have to pay around £14million for the World Cup winner, with the transfer to Old Trafford being completed within the week, but Sir Alex Ferguson may now have to shell out over double that figure. "I have yet to receive an offer from Man Utd," said Graille. He went on to claim he has received bids from other clubs for the Brazilian. "Real Madrid and Barcelona have also made bids for Ronaldinho and are willing to pay more" This goes against what Barcelona vice-president Sandro Rossell said last month. He claimed the Catalan club could not afford to enter a bidding war between United and Real for Ronaldinho, and they would not be signing him. This transfer saga looks set to run and run... |
