David Beckham is now officially a Real Madrid player after passing his medical with the Spanish giants. He has signed a 4-year contract with the La Liga winners, and has been given the number 23 shirt.

David Beckham is now officially a Real Madrid player after passing his medical with the Spanish giants. Beckham was given the all clear by Real doctor Juan Carlos Hernandes, and has put pen to paper on a four-year-contract. Being Beckham, it was of course a medical with a difference, with the final part of his Real Madrid switch being shown live on Real Madrid TV! The England skipper is delighted the deal if finally complete, and is looking forward to his career with Real Madrid. "I'm really very happy, I can't wait to get started," he told a Spanish Newspaper. Beckham was presented by Real president Alfredo Di Stefano, with Becks’ new shirt, complete with the number 23 on the back. "He is a great player who is going to become part of the club's great history,“ said Stefano. The deal is now done, and it’s time United and the fans move on. I would though like to wish Beckham good luck in La Liga with his new club. |
