Ferguson Confirms Veron Rumours

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that Chelsea have made an inquiry regarding the availability of Juan Sebastian Veron, and seemed to hint that the Argentinean midfielder would be allowed to leave Old Trafford.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed that Chelsea have
made an inquiry regarding the availability of Juan Sebastian Veron The news came during a press conference, following the unveiling of USA 'keeper Tim Howard as United's latest signing. "Chelsea have been in touch concerning Veron" said Sir Alex. "The player might not want to go. He's happy here and is enjoying his football here, so I'm happy with that. "The circumstances might change because I don't know what their (Chelsea's) offer is." Veron has failed to fulfil his full potential since joining United two years ago, and these quotes seem to suggest that Ferguson would be willing to do business with Chelsea should a tempting offer from Chelsea's new owner Roman Abramovich be made. |
