Juan Sebastian Veron has announced that he has no intention of leaving Old Trafford, despite being strongly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge. The Argentinean international had been linked with a £15million move to Chelsea, but insists he is happy at Old Trafford.

Juan Sebastian Veron has insisted that he wants to remain a
Manchester United player, despite being strongly linked with a move to Chelsea. The Stamford Bridge outfit, who have been looking to spend big on the transfer marker since the arrival of new owner Roman Abramovich, made an official enquiry for the Argentine, and were believed to be lining up a bid in the region of £15million. United boss Sir Alex Ferguson admitted that the club would consider a bid from Chelsea, but would be happy for Veron to stay at Old Trafford, if he so desired. "It has never been my intention to leave," said Veron. "I don't know what the club want to do but I want to stay here. "I have been open about my plans and I do not want to go." |
