The Manchester United Under-17's side have kicked off their pre-season in winning ways with a 3-2 victory over Woodley Sports F.C. Brian McClair was in attendance at the Lambeth Grove ground for a game that was a huge financial boost to Woodley.

The United under-19's side have kicked off their pre-season with a 3-2 away victory over Woodley Sports F.C.

The game was a huge event for Woodley, with a bumper crowd in attendance to watch the stars of the future.

The match started after a Plaque was unveiled by Brian McClair for ex-Woodley favorite Chris Ringland Who was tradgicly killed in an air crash last year.

Simon Hackey gave the home side the lead early on, but United were level just moments later.

United went in at half-time behind though, with Mike Norton making it 2-1 to Woodley.

The United youth clicked up a few gears in the second-half, but still had to wait until late on to find the goals that would give them victory, with strikes on 83 and 85 minutes giving the Under-19's a winning start to their pre-season.

The game was a massive financial boost for Woodley Sports, with the name Manchester United attracting a massive number of supporters to the Lambeth Grove ground.
