Ricky Sbragia’s Manchester United reserve side narrowly beat neighbours Oldham Athletic reserves 4-3 in the Senior Cup at Boundary Park yesterday.

Ricky Sbragia’s
Manchester United reserve side narrowly beat neighbors Oldham Athletic
reserves 4-3 in the Senior Cup at Boundary Park yesterday. A blend of youth team
players and proper reserve players represented United in their opening game
of the competition. Twenty-year old English
forward Daniel Nardiello opened the scoring on the ninth minute, but Ash
Winn leveled the scoring for the Lactics ten minutes later. Danny Pugh put United 3-1
up just after the interval, but a goal rush from Oldham saw the score turn
to 3-3. Daniel Nardiello, who is
on fine form, knocked in the winner with five minutes to go to seal the win
for United. United:
