United's reserve team manager Ricky Sbragia has
announced the side that will take on Middlesbrough at Moss Lane in tonight's
F.A Premier Reserve League clash. After playing a part in United's 5-0 hammering over Panathanikos on Tuesday, it's back to basics for David Bellion as he is included in the starting line-up. There is more Evidence that Roy Carroll has overtaken Fabien Barthez as second-choice 'keeper as he is starting between the sticks for the second-string side, with a defence of Lynch, Pugh, Tierney and Tate in front of him. Kieron Richardson and Darren Fletcher, who had a rather mediocre game on Tuesday, will both be given chances to stake claims for a regular place in the first-team squad as they are included in the midfield, with on-form Daniel Nardiello partnering Madds Timm up front. Welsh Under-21 international Matthew Williams, who put in a series of good performances in the United 'XI' pre-season friendlies is expected to be named amongst the substitutes. It's been a mixed start to the season for the United reserves, and Ricky Sbragia's side are still looking for their first league victory of the season, after drawing 3, and losing 1 of their opening Premier Reserve League matches. The United side did have success in the Manchester Senior Cup though, with a thrilling 4-3 win over Oldham Athletic at Boundary Park. United Line-Up:
Carroll; Lynch, Pugh, Tierney, Tate;
Richardson, Jones, Fletcher, Bellion; Timm, Nardiello. ManUtdWeb Prediction: United Reserves 2-0
