Manchester United will take on newly promoted Leicester City at The Walkers Stadium tomorrow, playing at the rare time of 15:00 for United. United go into the game fresh from a controversial 0-0 draw with rivals Arsenal and will be looking to lash out at The Foxes.

United go into the game fresh from a controversial 0-0 draw with rivals Arsenal and will be looking to lash out at The Foxes. Whereas Leicester go into the game off a scrappy midweek Carling Cup win over Crewe Alexander. Paul Dickov scored the only goal of the game from a penalty, eight minutes from time. Leicester currently lay 13th in the league with 5 points- drawing with Southampton and Middlesbrough, losing against Liverpool, Aston Villa and Chelsea. But The Foxes proved that they are a hard nutshell to crack beating Leeds 4-0 at home just 2 weeks ago. As for the team news, Sir Alex Ferguson will have to decide if Paul Scholes is fit enough to start the game after recovering from a hernia operation and training in midweek. United will certainly be without the services of Ole Gunner Solskjaer (knee), and long term absentee Wes Brown (ankle). Leicester will have to gamble on playing James Scowcroft (hip) and Ben Thatcher (heavy flu) who remain doubts for the game. Veteran Les Ferdinand is certainly out for the game due to a knee injury, but Gerry Taggart, Keith Gillespie and Matt Elliot remain major doubts. “James Scowcroft remains doubtful for the game, while Alan Rogers comes back from suspension which is good news," said Foxes gaffer Micky Adams. “Ben Thatcher missed the cup game against Crewe but has trained leading up to the weekend. I am going to leave it until the last minute before kick off to make my assessment on him." “Paul Dickov has had a heavy cold but looks fine while Marcus Bent returns after being cup-tied." Adams went on to say. If you're feeling lucky, United have been placed at 4/9 by Ladbrokes to get back to winning ways. If you are feeling incredibly lucky, Gary Neville has been placed at 50/1 to be the first goalscorer. |
