FIFA president Sepp Blatter has confirmed that United 'keeper Fabien Barthez cannot join French outfit Marseilles until the start of the transfer window in January. The out-of-favor World Cup winning goalkeeper must settle for a place in the reserves until he can join Marseilles in January.

start of the transfer window in January.
"There is no decision, there is no transfer." said Blatter "It can be settled only during the window, reserved by the rules." FIFA spokesman, Andreas Herren added " FIFA cannot comply with the request by Marseilles." The out-of-favor World Cup winning goalkeeper must settle for a place in the reserves until he can join Marseilles in January. If the deal goes through, Barthez wouldn't be the only goalie to go out on loan from United. Spaniard Ricardo is on loan at Racing in Spain. |
