United In Talks With Miller
Manchester United are in talks with Celtic midfielder Liam Miller and offered him a chance to move to Old Trafford.

The 22-year old is also on the brink of signing a pre-contract agreement with United so that no other clubs snap up the hardworking midfielder.

Celtic were hoping to extend the Ireland international's contract when it expires in the summer but that looks unlikely as United have made it clear that they want Miller. But negotiations between Celtic and Miller have dragged on for a few months now and it was unlikely he'd sign a contract with the Scottish champions back then.

It is believed that Roy Keane urged Sir Alex to make a move for Miller as Keane thinks that he is the 'right man' to fill his boots when he retires. Like Keane, Miller comes from Cork and has been a regular in the Ireland U21 squad.

Miller has sadly been effected by injuries and was once loaned out to Danish outfit Aarhus to stop the plague of injuries.

But in Celtic's view- every cloud has a silver lining as they have captured Motherwell's hot prospect Stephan Pearson for £350,000, who was a United target.
