Manchester United's promising defender Phillip Bardsley has put pen-to-paper and has signed a 4-year professional contract with the Red Devils. The solid defender was recently handed the squad number 34 before being selected to play for United in the Carling Cup.

professional contract with the Red Devils.
Local lad Bardsley, 17, made his senior debut a few months ago against West Bromwhich Albion in the 4th round of this years League Cup, also known as The Carling Cup. Bardsley was part of last year's Youth Team success in winning the Youth Cup against Middlesbrough and this year has broken into Ricky Sbriga's reserve outfit. The solid defender was recently handed the squad number 34 before being selected to play for United in the Carling Cup. |
