Manchester United Seal Saha Switch

Saha, 25, who banged in 15 goals for Fulham this season, has signed a 5 year deal with the Red Devils which sees his contract end at the latter part of the 2008/2009 season.

"I am absolutely delighted, it's a dream come true. I would like to thank my family and all the people who have helped me through this, I am just happy everything turned out." said the thrilled Frenchman.

"To leave a great atmosphere like Fulham has been difficult, but I am glad to be joining one of the best clubs in the world." he added.

Louis Saha isn't the only happy person at Old Trafford at the moment. Sir Alex Ferguson is also delighted.

"Louis is a young and exciting talent and has made incredible progress." said Fergie

"We have got a young and gifted centre forward - his performances against Manchester United have showed us that. To have finally secured this deal is fantastic and a great boost to the club."

But Saha won't be available for Sunday's F.A Cup fixture with Northampton as he is not eligible to play. However, he will be able to play in the Champions League. 

The vacant No.9 shirt will be given to Saha to make him the first person to wear the great No.9 shirt since Andrew (Andy) Cole in 2001.
