Barnsley Snap-Up Nardiello

The 21-year old highly-rated striker has already been on-loan to a Nationwide Division clue this year. He spent a month at Swansea City with fellow youngster Alan Tate, and made a a big impact at The Vetch.

The Tykes' Icelandic boss, Gudjohn Thordarson, is delighted to have bright youngster Nardiello on-loan at Oakwell and said the following: 

"I would like to thank Sir Alex Ferguson for his help in allowing us to take Daniel on loan,"

"We have discussed potential signings for several weeks and Sir Alex has kept us fully informed of the players he could allow out and who he would be happy to let come to Oakwell."

"He called us earlier this week and this signing is the outcome of that."

Half Welsh/ half English Nardiello has made only 4 appearances, mainly as a substitute in the Champions League, since joining Old Trafford from Wolves at a very young age. He recently appeared in the Carling Cup defeat against West Brom.
