Tierney Signs for Colchester On Loan

Manchester United youngster Paul Tierney has completed a loan move to Colchester United. The left-back has one senior appearance for the Red Devils under his belt, which was the League Cup defeat at the hands of West Bromwich Albion earlier in the season.

Manchester United youngster Paul Tierney has completed a loan move to second division side Colchester United.

The left-back will go straight into the U's squad for their league clash against Tranmere Rovers at Layer Road this Saturday, and might even start the game.

Colchester United have surprised everyone with their performance in the last couple of seasons. After a comfortable higher mid-table finish last season, they have ambitions to gain promotion to the First Division this campaign, which would be a fantastic achievement for such a club.

21-year-old Tierney has made only one appearance in the first-team for United, making an appearance in the 2-0 League Cup defeat at the hands of West Bromwich Albion earlier this season.
