Reports in Holland suggest that Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven have rejected a £5 million bid by Manchester United to try and capture their 20-year old starlet Arjen Robben. PSV Eindhoven stated that they want double the original £5 million they supposedly offered for the attacking-midfielder

Reports in Holland suggest that Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven have rejected a £5 million bid by Manchester United to try and capture their 20-year old starlet Arjen Robben.

PSV Eindhoven stated that they want double the original £5 million they supposedly offered and also claimed that they are desperate to keep the Dutch wonderkid.

"I am surprised both clubs could not come to an agreement," Arjen Robben's father, Hans, admitted.

"When we spoke to Manchester United earlier this year I was under the impression they wanted Arjen very much. I don't know if they are playing a game."

"I also don't know if PSV asked for too much or if United simply didn't offer enough. Arjen would have loved to join Manchester United." he added.


The attacking midfielder has scored 16 goals in 48 appearances for PSV and is a vital member of Dick Advocaat's Dutch team.
