Fulham vs. Manchester United - Match Preview

United have been somewhat off-colour in recent games and are facing defensive problems since the well documented ban of Rio Ferdinand and have conceded 13 goals in 6 games, which works out at just over 2 goals a game.

Opponents Fulham slightly overachieved at the start of the season being amongst the top 4 for a while but form has dipped for the Cottagers since the departure of Louis Saha. They go into the game fresh off the back of a 3-0 FA Cup victory against London rivals West Ham to book a place in the next round of the competition, funnily enough with United.

Visitors United may have to see the game through without former Fulham hit-man Louis Saha due to a calf-injury. But if he were to play, he'd be making his first return to Loftus Road after his £12 million move to Old Trafford.

Defensive problems continue due to the start of Gary Neville's 4 match ban and will have to play John O'Shea tomorrow, after missing out in midweek.

Fulham's new defender Carlos Bocanegra is also banned for this fixture. Chris Coleman will also be without Lee Clark, Facundo Sava, Jerome Bonnissel and John Colins due to injuries.

One To Watch: Edwin van der Sar

The Dutch international has been solid all season for The Cottagers and goes into the game all fired up and ready to cause an upset at their fortress Loftus Road tomorrow.

"Porto played very well and showed up some weaknesses in the United team," said Van der Sar

"But having said that United are still a quality team and it will be very difficult."

"Everybody goes through a spell where things don't always go exactly right, so perhaps we can take advantage."
