Manchester United forward ole Gunnar Solsjaer is certain that the title race is by no means over despite Arsenal leading the way at the top of the league by 7 points. The Norwegian international hopes United's determination and fighting spirit will help to another league comeback.

Solskjaer does not believe the title race is over, and hopes the
determination and fighting spirit associated with the Red Devils during the
helm of Sir Alex Ferguson will help them stage another impressive league
comeback to life a ninth Premiership crown. A run of disappointing results in the Premiership sees United trailing title rivals Arsenal by seven points, and with Chelsea still only two points behind Sir Alex Ferguson's side there are still three sides with realistic hopes of lifting the trophy. However, Arsenal's gap at the top and the fact they remain unbeaten in the Premiership so far this season sees the Gunners clear favourites to win the title, but Solskjaer is sure there is still a long way to go. "I've never seen a Manchester United team give up and hand trophies over to our rivals without a fight. We’re going to make sure we get as many points as possible from now until the end of the season." said Solskjaer. "Even good teams go through bad patches. We have players here that don’t accept being on the losing side. That comes all the way down from the manager." The fan favourite returned to the Manchester United fold as a substitute during the 1-1 draw against rivals Leeds United, and is now looking to be back to full fitness after several run outs in the reserve team. Solskjaer's return will be a boost to the team and the fans, but the Norwegian international knows all the players will have to be on best form until the end of the campaign to stand a chance of winning the Premiership. "Being in a challenging position like we are now suits us; we know we have to produce our best football." |
