Alex Ferguson has taken time to praise Ryan Giggs today after being
instrumental during United's 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur, scoring the
opener at Old Trafford.
Giggs has denied recent rumours linking him to Italian giants Inter Milan and critics have been slamming recent performances but was vital during the morale-boosting win this afternoon. "Ryan is a sensational player," said Ferguson. "He has spent 14 years running up and down that left wing and maybe we expect too much of him at times." he continued "You have to take into account the injuries he has had and the amount of rehabilitation he has had to do. It really takes it out of you, which is why I am so pleased with his performance today." The 31-year old cheekily back-heeled United 1-0 up at Old Trafford today and linked up brilliantly with Paul Scholes and Ruud van Nistelrooy, proving essential today. Late goals by substitutes Cristiano Ronaldo and David Bellion sealed the win for The Red Devils, being the first in 4 league games. |
