United Players Called-Up In Surprise Selection

The Swede has been linked with a move to Chelsea as manager recently and has included Old Trafford's very own Nicky Butt and Phil Neville in the squad for the game in Eriksson's home-country but has decided to rest regular Paul Scholes.

Forwards Jermain Defore and Shaun Wright-Phillips have made the team after enjoying a good season so far. Aston Villa's J'Lloyd Samuel has also earned a shock call-up after impressing for Villa in-front of Eriksson during their 2-1 triumph over Charlton.

Celtic midfielder Alan Thompson has finally got into the side after shining for The Hoops for such a long time. Norwich goalkeeper Robert Green has also been incorporated into the squad after making a name for himself in-between the sticks for The Canneries.
