Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher has pulled out of the Scotland squad for their mid-week friendly against Romania at Hampden Park.

The 20-year-old is suffering with a groin injury and was substituted after 71 minutes for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer during the 1-1 draw against Arsenal at Highbury. The likelihood is the injury probably isn't serious, and if it was a United match then Fletcher would probably remain in the squad - it is an international friendly after all!

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed the injury, announcing:  "We will have to withdraw him."
