Ruud Rubbishes 'Ludicrous' Rumours

Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy has rubbished rumours claiming that he has a desire to move away from Old Trafford in favour of a Spanish outift. The Dutchman is a prime target for both Real Madrid and Barcelona in the summer but the 27-year old denies wanting out.

has rubbished rumours claiming that he has a desire to move away from Old
Trafford in favour of a Spanish outift.
The Dutchman is a prime target for both Real Madrid and Barcelona in the summer and recent rumours suggest the prolific striker would consider a move to either Italy's Serie A or Spain's La Liga. "To suggest that I want to leave is ludicrous. I don't know where these stories are coming from." he said He continued: "I don't care when I read in the newspaper that I am going to Real Madrid or Barcelona after this season. It is all total rubbish." "I thought long and hard about the implications of signing a new four-year contract at United and I have no regrets whatsoever. "I have said many times I would be happy to see out the best days of my career at this club and nothing has changed." Reports in Spain suggest Barca would use defender Carles Puyol as bait for the 27-year old after the Spanish international centre-half was linked with Sir Alex Ferguson's side. |
