Manchester United v. Charlton Athletic - Preview

With 89% of the season gone, a victory for Sir Alex Ferguson's outfit would leave them just one point behind the opposition that is Chelsea in 3rd spot with 71 points but joint on games played with The Blues. The two clubs are yet to play each other for the second time in the league.

Europe-chasing Charlton currently sit in 7th position with 48 points with Aston Villa one point ahead and Birmingham one point behind.

A Ruud van Nistelrooy hat-trick and a David Beckham strike sealed an impressive 4-1 victory over Athletic in the corresponding fixture last season but managed to beat them 2-0 earlier this season.

Dutchman Ruud van Nistelrooy and skipper Roy Keane are set to return to the starting line-up after missing a few games out duo to injury. Phil Neville (ankle), Kleberson (knee) and Diego Forlan (achilles) are all doubts. 

Paul Scholes will definitely miss out duo to suspension after admitting to pushing Middlesbrough's Doriva and Cristiano Ronaldo is likely to remain on the substitute bench to avoid burn-out.

The Addicks welcome veteran Graham Stuart back from a spell on the sidelines and are obviously with-out long-standing absentees Mark Fish, Richard Rufus, Gary Rowett and Kevin Lisbie.
